Welcome to the UK International Airports website. Heathrow is by far the UK's biggest airport with 66 million passengers passing through its five terminals each year compared to the 32 million that use Gatwick and 18 million at Stansted. All these airports serve the south east of the country and the capital in particular. All three have capacity issues and have requested additional runways to continue their expansion. Heathrow in particular is already operating at full capacity off its two runways and Gatwick operates the single busiest runway in the world.
